My Jie said i look like a barbie doll standing there. Do i? Haha.
Finally, the time that we had been anticipating for has arrived! Its my Jie's and my first ever time to board and fly on a plane.
We were so thrilled and eager for the plane to take off! After all those times of learning about aircraft standard processes, i finally got to experience it. I kept explaining those processes to Jie and Gor whenever the aircraft moves or stops, such as the aircraft is awaiting for clearance to take off so on. I think they find me very irritating, cause i kept chatting away!
Finally, the plane took off! The view from the window seat was gorgeous!
We could even see the entire outline of Singapore!
For inflight entertainment, i chose to watch a bit of Ink Heart and Bride Wars.
Our flight meal was scrumptious! Grilled fish and baked potatoes. There were all sorts of drinks available, inlcuding Red Wine, White Wine, Orange Juice, Milk, Tea, Coffee and so on. The dessert served was Vanilla ice cream!
We were happily eating away.
This is my first time viewing the clouds at such close distance. It was awesome.
However, despite me being thrilled about my first flight experience, i was feeling a bit giddy and nauseous at the end of the flight. >.<
In about two hours time, we finally catch a glimpse of Thailand!
And, this is Suvarnabhumi Airport!
After meeting up with our tour guide, we were being bought to check-in to our hotel in Bangkok. The name of our hotel is CentrePoint Service Apartment. It felt like a home to me as there is even a kitchen provided.
This is the Cheese Cake Singapore Airlines offered Gor for his birthday. It became our supper that day. It was certainly yummy! We had a great time clearing off it.
After some packing out some of our stuffs, we set off to explore Bangkok on our own as the first day of our trip is scheduled as free and easy.
The first place we went to explore is Chinatown! After so many hearings about Thailand's infamous traffic jam, we finally experienced it. We suspected that the major cause is that its red light is super long. But, i love its colourful taxis on the road!
When we arrived at Chinatown, the sun was glaring down at us.
After walking round the streets for hours, we felt hungry, so we went into a Chinese Restaurant and had our dinner there. While waiting for our food to be served, we took photos.
Shark Fin Soup.
When we decided to head back to our hotel, Chinatown is raining heavily with a heavy traffic jam. We spent almost forty-five minutes trying to flag a cab. It was a scary experience to be out in the cold rain at a unfamilar city that is far away from our hotel, when most of the taxi drivers have never heard of our hotel. At that moment, i was thinking it will really be a miracle to be able to return to our hotel that night. Finally, after around forty-five minutes we managed to explain where our hotel is situated to a taxi driver and hop onto it.
